The saga of the TPS

The K-series engine is well known for TPS issues. An increase in resistance inside the sensor eventually leads to false signals and error codes, which in turn, ultimately leads to complete sensor failure within about 40-80,000 miles. We should count ourselves lucky then, that ours lasted til around 120,000.

Catching up and making re-introductions

About a year ago, I ran an automotive based blog called Shift, which dealt mainly with the trials and tribulations of purchasing and owning a poorly maintained, 8 year old Acura RSX. The mileage was high, the paint was in poor shape, the body work showed signs of a crash, and the various factory faults common in a first production run had begun to rear their ugly heads.
